Biography
Pauline Higgins is a native New Yorker. After graduating from St. John’s University in Queens, NY, Pauline received her Physician Assistant Certificate from Bayley Seton Hospital in Staten Island, N.Y.
Pauline began her career as a Staff OB/GYN Physician Assistant at St. John’s Queens Hospital. She spent her last 5 years at St. John’s as the OB/GYN Physician Supervisor where she coordinated the efforts of seven other Physician Assistants, and taught and evaluated Physician Assistant students. Her work with other departments on continuous care led to significant improvements in clinical function. In 1996, Pauline received Catholic Medical Centers Director’s Award for Outstanding Physician Assistant.
In 1998, Pauline continued her focus on Obstetrics and Gynecology by joining the staff at NYU School of Medicine, working at Bellevue Hospital. She was a dynamic part of both the inpatient and outpatient care team for the OB/GYN patients. It was at this time she first met and worked with both Drs. Christina Kwon and Rachel Masch.
After a brief pause from her professional life to spend time with her family, Pauline is happy to join Concorde Medical Group as part of the Women’s Health care team and Northwell Health. She is an outstanding edition to the Group, providing years of clinical experience coupled with compassionate and warm care.
