Biography

Dr. Catherine Weinberg is the Director of the Adult Congenital Heart Disease Program and High Risk Cardiovascular Obstetrics at Lenox Hill Hospital and serves as Assistant Professor at the Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra. She is a board-certified cardiologist, with advanced training in adult congenital heart disease.

After earning an undergraduate degree from Lawrence University in Wisconsin, Dr. Weinberg received her medical degree from St. George’s University School of Medicine where she was a member of Iota Epsilon Alpha Honor Society. She completed her Internal Medicine residency and Cardiology fellowship at St. Luke’s Roosevelt Hospital Center in New York City. Dr. Weinberg’s passion for treating adults with congenital heart disease led her to complete an advanced fellowship at the Wisconsin Adult Congenital Heart Disease Program at the Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin.

After fellowship, Dr. Weinberg served as Assistant Professor, Division of Cardiovascular Diseases and Hypertension at Robert Wood Johnson Medical School of Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick, NJ.  Dr. Weinberg comes to Lenox Hill from NYU Langone Health, where she helped build and grow the Adult Congenital Heart Disease Program.

Dr. Weinberg seeks to provide the highest quality care to her patients, and shares her knowledge by teaching medical school students, residents and fellows. She has co-authored journal articles and textbook chapters on protein purification, advancements in echocardiography, women with coronary artery disease, pregnancy and heart disease and adult congenital heart disease. Dr. Weinberg has been named one of New York’s Super Doctors®.
