Biography
Amanda is a board certified Family Nurse Practitioner who is working in collaboration with Dr. Colette Ho at Concorde Medical Group. She received her Master’s Degree in Nurse Practitioner and Physician Assistant Studies from Hofstra University and her Bachelors of Nursing Degree from Seton Hall University. Prior to joining Concorde Medical Group, Amanda was a nurse at Staten Island University Hospital/Northwell Health for 8 years, and has worked on medicine, surgery, oncology, emergency room, and trauma wards. Because of her outstanding and compassionate care, she had been awarded Nurse of the Year on her oncology unit. She is also a registered Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE nurse) and is trained to provide counseling and care to sexual assault victims and abuse victims.
Amanda is interested in all aspects of general internal medicine, but has been particularly passionate about caring for the geriatric population, both in her previous in-patient nursing work. and in her current NP outpatient practice.
In addition to assisting with Dr. Huang’s patients, she is seeing her own panel of patients for primary care with Dr. Huang’s collaboration. Appointments can be scheduled for Amanda through Dr. Amy Huang’s office at (212) 689-1334.
