Biography

Dr. Farng-Yang Foo is a board-certified neurologist and electrophysiologist. He is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine at the NYU Langone Health and has been attending there since 2007.

Dr. Foo received his undergraduate degree from Yale University in 1998 with a bachelors of arts in molecular biophysics and biochemistry. He obtained his medical degree from New York University School of Medicine and completed his internship at the New York Downtown Hospital, where he was named “Outstanding Intern of the Year”. He returned to New York University for his neurology residency and completed his fellowship in neurophysiology. He joined the Neurology Consultants of New York in private practice and continued teaching the residents and medical students at New York University during this time. He has been named to the New York Super Doctors ® list, America’s Best Physician, and Patient’s Choice Award lists.

At Concorde Medical Group, Dr. Foo’s practice spans the spectrum of general neurology. He believes strongly in patient centered care. Specialized areas of expertise include neuropathy, headache, back pain, carpal tunnel, concussion, and stroke. Additional interests include epilepsy and neurodegenerative diseases. He is proficient in electromyograms, interpreting electroencephalograms, performing injections for carpal tunnel, botulinim toxin injection for chronic headache, hemifacial spasm, and upper limb spasticity.
